Racing for Reach the Children

A 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile ride, and 26.2 mile run will benefit the children of Africa this fall thanks to the Janus Charity Challenge in conjunction with Ironman Wisconsin and first-time ironman participant Brooke Burgess. "An Ironman triathlon is a huge undertaking and I'm so excited that I can pursue this goal and help the children of Africa at the same time. When I'm swimming, biking, and running I will be thinking of them and I'm sure that will keep me going," she said.

Since its beginning, triathletes taking part in the Janus Charity Challenge have raised more than $5 million for the charities of their choice. Janus makes an additional donation to the top 30 fundraisers at each race.

Anyone interested in donating can go to www.active.com/activegiving. Online contributions can be made with a credit card and you will receive a receipt detailing your generous donation. Checks can also be sent to Reach the Children with "Janus Charity Challenge" noted in the memo section of the check.
