African Expeditions

Several times a year, Reach the Children facilitates the travel of volunteers to countries in Africa to do various service-oriented projects hand-in-hand with our African sisters and brothers. The projects & dates are based upon coordinating appropriate requests from in country with volunteers available. Based upon such criteria, expeditions can be added through out the year-- vs. a one time posting for the entire year. Details come with the process of developing each expedtion. Note: For those expeditions that are full, you may fill out an application to be put on a waiting list for any spot that may become available. The service-related expenses of a volunteer traveling to Africa with RTC is approximately $3800. Volunteers are sponsored in the form of donations to Reach the Children, which are tax deductible.

Please contact us if you are interested in being trained in team leadership or in sponsoring volunteers to go on expeditions. Past Reach the Children expedition members that have an interest in becoming a future team leader are invited to let us know.

Local Chapters

Reach the Children has launched local chapters to allow more people to get involved within their own communities and to bring in funds for projects in Africa. Monetary aid can pay for many things from training to providing micro-enterprise loans to helping orphans obtain an education. Chapters can facilitate the organizing of schools, churches, businesses, and community groups to raise funds or provide other support. Even small gifts make a big difference! Your larger gift goes even further.
